Barcelona to earn money from Pedri’s injury

Barcelona midfielder Pedri sustained an injury during the quarterfinal match of the European Championship
between Spain and Germany. The young player had to be substituted early in the game following a rough tackle
by German midfielder Toni Kroos, who subsequently issued a public apology to Pedri via his social media accounts.

Atletico renews Azpilicueta for another season

Barcelona could potentially benefit financially from Pedri’s injury through FIFA’s Club Protection Program. According to the Spanish publication Sport, if the injury is severe and Pedri is sidelined for more than a month, UEFA will compensate Barcelona €20,548 for each day he misses beyond the initial month.

Meanwhile, the Spanish national team has progressed to the Euro 2024 semifinals, where they are set to face France.
