Barcelona’s clash with Granada will be without Vitor Roque

In just a few weeks, Vitor Roque has already experienced all kinds of sensations as a Barcelona player. Questioned at
the beginning, he has been praised again after his latest goals. Now, he has been hit by the suspension that was not
withdrawn by the Committee after his sending off at Mendizorroza.

He has not arrived at the most placid time for the Barcelona squad, but Vitor Roque accepts the challenge of having to
earn his trust through performance. Barcelona’s young Brazilian striker, who arrived in Barcelona during the winter
transfer window, will not be able to play in Granada due to the suspension he faces after being sent off at
Mendizorroza. The Committee did not remove his second yellow card, so he will have to wait another week to continue
his journey as a ‘Cule’ footballer.

Interviewed by ‘Mundo Deportivo’, Vitor Roque speaks humbly, simply and without wanting to get into controversial issues. A boy who accepts the process of adaptation that every player who arrives in Europe needs. Although he has already taken off that initial pressure with the last two goals, he knows that a lot is expected of him in Barcelona.

“Mundo Deportivo”‘s Vitor Roque interviews

“Brazil and Spain are different. They are different countries, different football and I am trying to learn as much as possible with the players on the pitch and in the dressing room. That makes it easier for me to adapt. I am also supported by some of the players. Raphinha, because he is Brazilian. Araujo, Joao Felix and Cancelo, these two are Portuguese. They help me a lot,” he acknowledged.

“My objective between now and the end of the season is to try to finish my adaptation little by little. Keep working, help my team-mates and try to do my best in the league to try to be champion, and the same in the Champions League.Of course I see my chances of winning La Liga. There is still a long way to go. If we are focused and continue to work, we can certainly win it,” he added about his side’s chances in the domestic competition.

Asked about the early criticism he received, Vitor Roque accepts it as part of those first few months: “I did see some criticism, but I took it as motivation to keep working. I know it’s a process of adaptation and playing for Barcelona is not easy.

We are talking about the biggest club in the world. I know it’s difficult to arrive and play here, but thank God I managed to score two goals and now I have to keep working because things will happen naturally.Read More
