A total of 28 teams, including prominent esports organizations like FURIA, Astralis, and defending champions Imperial,
will participate. This season marks the third iteration of the tournament on Counter-Strike 2, which was released in
September 2023.
ESL Impact, launched in 2022, is part of EFG’s #GGFORALL initiative, which aims to create safe spaces for women and marginalized genders in gaming and esports. The initiative has also collaborated with Para Esports, inviting them to IEM Cologne in August.
While the all-female esports ecosystem is growing, with events like the MLBB Women’s Invitational drawing significant viewership, ESL Impact’s viewership remains modest. The Season 5 finals peaked at 26,025 viewers, according to Esports Charts, highlighting the need for further growth in audience engagement.
