ESL FACEIT Group unveils ESL Impact Season 6 details

ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced the details for the sixth season of ESL Impact, its female Counter-Strike circuit.
The competition will take place from August 28th to November 24th, 2024, with teams from Europe, North America, and
South America vying for a share of the $150,000 (~£113,000) prize pool and spots in the global finals at DreamHack
Stockholm in November.

A total of 28 teams, including prominent esports organizations like FURIA, Astralis, and defending champions Imperial,
will participate. This season marks the third iteration of the tournament on Counter-Strike 2, which was released in
September 2023.

ESL Impact, launched in 2022, is part of EFG’s #GGFORALL initiative, which aims to create safe spaces for women and marginalized genders in gaming and esports. The initiative has also collaborated with Para Esports, inviting them to IEM Cologne in August.

While the all-female esports ecosystem is growing, with events like the MLBB Women’s Invitational drawing significant viewership, ESL Impact’s viewership remains modest. The Season 5 finals peaked at 26,025 viewers, according to Esports Charts, highlighting the need for further growth in audience engagement.
