Ex-Newcastle leader to leave Saudi Arabia to play for Mourinho’s team

Fenerbahçe, under the management of legendary coach José Mourinho, is on the verge of securing a major transfer.
According to Turkish insider Yağız Sabuncuoğlu and confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahçe has agreed on personal
terms with Al-Ahli forward Allan Saint-Maximin. The French player has given the “green light” for the transfer and is now
waiting for the clubs to finalize the agreement.

José Mourinho, who has been a long-time admirer of Saint-Maximin, has made him a priority target for the summer
transfer window. Mourinho believes that Saint-Maximin has the potential to be a key player for Fenerbahçe.

De Zerbi aims to take Marseille back ‘to the top’

Saint-Maximin joined Al-Ahli in the summer of 2023 from Newcastle for €27.2 million. During his season in the Saudi
Pro League, the 27-year-old Frenchman scored 4 goals and provided 9 assists, showcasing his attacking prowess and playmaking abilities.

Before his stint at Al-Ahli, Saint-Maximin had an extensive career in European football, playing for clubs such as Monaco, Nice, Bastia, Hannover, and Saint-Étienne. His experience and skill set make him a valuable addition to Mourinho’s squad as they aim to compete at the highest levels domestically and in European competitions.

The move is anticipated to bolster Fenerbahçe’s attacking options significantly, with Saint-Maximin’s flair and creativity set to add a new dimension to the team’s play under Mourinho’s guidance. Fans will be eagerly awaiting the official confirmation of the transfer, hoping that Saint-Maximin can help lead Fenerbahçe to success in the upcoming season.
