LeBron and his son will play during the first week of the NBA season

The Los Angeles Lakers have selected Bronny James, son of LeBron James, in the NBA Draft. This move
sets the stage for the possibility of father and son playing together, potentially a first in NBA history.

Journalist Adrian Wojnarowski reported that LeBron and Bronny will play together during the first week of
the new season. However, Bronny, being a 19-year-old drafted in the second round, is expected to primarily
play in the Lakers’ G-League rotation.

Two teams from Los Angeles are showing interest in the Golden State Warriors’ point guard

“The Lakers anticipate him being largely a G-League player, as is the case with nearly any 19-year-old picked
in the second round of the draft. You’ll likely see Bronny on the court with his father in the first week of the season
– I don’t want to call it ceremonial, but the world’s eyes will be on that. They will play in the first week of the season,
but there are no expectations for Bronny to crack the Lakers’ rotation,” Wojnarowski shared.

Bronny James has signed a 4-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, reportedly worth $7.9 million.

In related news, the Lakers are keen on retaining LeBron James. Insider Shams Charania reported that LeBron plans to sign a two-year contract worth up to $104 million to stay with the Lakers. This strategic move aims to bolster the team’s performance and potentially create a historic moment in NBA history with LeBron and Bronny playing together.
