Ex-Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney recently took over Championship team Plymouth, but his coaching ambitions are much, much higher:

“My dream is clear. I have always said that one day I would like to take over Manchester United or Everton,” Rooney is
quoted as saying by Fabrizio Romano.

As a coach, Rooney did well at Derby County, but was less successful at American D.C. United and English Birmingham City.
With the latter, the 38-year-old coach was sacked after 15 matches, of which he won only two.

It should be recalled that according to the media, now at Old Trafford are still deciding on the future of the current head coach Erik ten Hag.
