Raya initially joined Arsenal on loan last season and successfully claimed the starting spot over Aaron Ramsdale. During his Premier League campaign, Raya played 32 matches and recorded 16 clean sheets, demonstrating his significant impact on the team’s defense.

On the international front, Raya is part of the Spanish national team squad for Euro 2024, serving as the backup goalkeeper to Unai Simón. Despite his secondary role, Raya featured in the group stage match against Albania, which Spain won 1-0.
