Premier League records continue to break: 26 goals in five games

The Premier League broke another record on matchday 23 as 26 goals were scored in five games. It is the first time this has happened in just one day.

The Premier League again broke a record on Saturday when matchday 23 ended. 26 goals were scored in five different matches, which equates to 5.2 goals per game.

It all started at Goodison Park, where Everton salvaged a 2-2 draw in stoppage time to the disappointment of Richarlison, who scored a brace for Tottenham on his return to Merseyside. And it didn’t stop there.

Brighton thrashed Crystal Palace 4-1 on Ansu Fati’s return. Moreover, Burnley and Fulham had the same scoreline as in the first case.
