Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen will remain at the club until at least the summer,
according to reports, amid transfer links with Galatasaray.
The 31-year-old isn’t guaranteed a starting place in Erik ten Hag’s midfield, with the emergence
of Kobbie Mainoo likely to further restrict the Danish international’s minutes moving forward.
Eriksen has played 15 times in the Premier League this season, totalling 845 minutes, but has been
a starter on just nine occasions. He has completed the full 90 minutes just five times, with three of those games resulting in defeats for United.READ MORE
Turkish giants Galatasaray, who can sign players until Friday 9 February because of a variation in transfer window dates, have been linked with a move for Eriksen in recent days – owing to his dwindling appearances – but Sky Sports News report that he will not be leaving Old Trafford before the end of the season.
Former Tottenham, Inter and Brentford midfielder Eriksen is said to be happy with his role at United and is focused on the rest of the campaign, though the report doesn’t go as far as to rule out a switch in the summer, by which time Eriksen will have just one year remaining on his contract.
