Salary is impressive. Cleveland’s leader has agreed on a new contract with the club

Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell has agreed to a new contract with the team, as reported by ESPN.
The new deal for the All-Star guard spans three years and is valued at $150.3 million. The contract also includes
a player option for the 2027/28 season.

Two teams from Los Angeles are showing interest in the Golden State Warriors’ point guard

Mitchell and his agent, Austin Brown, who is the co-head of CAA Basketball, met with Cleveland’s President of
Basketball Operations, Koby Altman, on Saturday in Los Angeles to finalize the agreement.

Mitchell, 27, joined the Cavaliers in 2022. In the recent NBA season, he played 10 playoff games, averaging impressive
stats of 29.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.

Mitchell has made history as the first guard to average at least 20 points in each of his first seven NBA seasons since Allen Iverson. Last year, he also achieved career highs in assists (6.1) and steals (1.8), ranking third in steals per game and sixth in deflections in the league.
