Tournament spotlight: Team Spirit takes home $50k after dominant 1win Series Dota 2 Summer showing (Day 4 recap)

The 1win Series Dota 2 Summer tournament has concluded, showcasing thrilling competition among eight teams
over four days of online play. Team Spirit emerged victorious, defeating Gaimin Gladiators in the Grand Final to
secure a $50,000 (~£39,500) share of the $100,000 prize pool.

This summer event marked the second tournament organized by bookmaker 1win, following the inaugural 1win
Series Dota 2 Spring event in March. Esports Insider provided match-day coverage throughout the tournament,
which featured notable teams such as Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, 1win, beastcoast, Virtus.Pro, Entity, PSG
Quest, and Nigma Galaxy.

Third-Place Match
The final day began at 12:00 CET with the third-place fixture, determining who would take home $15,000, with
$5,000 awarded to the fourth-place team. Entity delivered a strong performance, defeating 1win’s team in a straightforward
2-0 match. Despite early success in the tournament, 1win struggled in the mid lane, allowing Entity to dominate and secure
third place. This result was bittersweet for Entity, as they were unable to defend their title from the 1win Series Dota 2 Spring
event, where they had won 3-1 against Virtus.Pro.

Grand Final
The grand final commenced at 13:00 CET, with undefeated Team Spirit facing Gaimin Gladiators. Team Spirit, based in
Belgrade
and renowned as one of the world’s top Dota 2 teams, reached the final after a challenging semi-final against 1win.
