Vinicius Junior said that victory over racism will only be achieved when all racists go to prison

In Spain, racist scandals continue to unfold. The match between Getafe and Sevilla was interrupted due to racist insults
directed at Getafe’s defender Marcos Acuña, who was called a ‘monkey,’ and coach Kike Flores, who was referred to as
a ‘gypsy.’

The match of the Spanish Royal Football Federation’s First Division was even prematurely ended due to insults aimed at Senegalese goalkeeper Rayo Mahadonda Sheikh Sarr, who refused to tolerate it and stormed into the stands.

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior, who has also been subjected to racist taunts from the stands and even broke down in tears at a press conference, refused to tolerate this behavior and wrote on his social media page:

“This weekend, I will not even play. But just this Saturday, we had three disgusting incidents of racism in Spain.

I stand with Acuña and Sevilla coach Kike Flores, with Sarr from Rayo Mahadonda. Let their courage inspire others. Racists must be exposed, and games cannot continue with them in the stands. We will only achieve victory when racists leave the stadium stands and go straight to prison, where they belong”.

It is worth noting that in February, La Liga filed complaints with the prosecutor’s office against the fans, and the Spanish league itself is making every effort to eradicate racism by promoting advertising campaigns on the field and in broadcasts.Read More
