An update on the future of Barcelona player Vitor Roque has been provided today by agent André Cury, amid reports
linking the Brazilian away from the club due to a lack of playing time.
Since his January move from Athletico Paranaense, Roque has made just one La Liga start for his new club. The 19-year-old has found his minutes limited and this is mainly because of the strong competition from Joao Felix and Robert Lewandowski, who are the two established forwards in the front line.
Recent reports have suggested that Barca would look to move the teenager on in the summer to help with their financial situation, with numerous clubs monitoring the situation and ready to make a €50m bid for the forward. As reported via Fabrizio Romano, agent Cury told QTJ that Roque is happy at the club and is determined to succeed.
He said: “Vitor is very happy at Barça and there’s no chance for a loan. He’s very good physically and mentally, and he is waiting for more minutes to prove it on the field. Xavi loves him very much.
The truth is that there is a queue of clubs ready to pay €50m even now for Vitor Roque. Vitor will not go anywhere even if he is loaned out. He is determined to succeed at BarçaREAD MORE
