Walker warned ref he was going to “knock out” Maupay for talking about his children

Kyle Walker had a clash with Neal Maupay in Manchester City’s win over Brentford. Just days after the full-back admitted,
in an interview with ‘The Sun’, the wrongdoing that has led his personal life to disaster, the ‘Bee’,
according to his complaints to the referee, uncovered in ‘Daily Mail’ by a professional lip-reader,
asked him what about his children.

At one point during the match, which ended 1-3 in favour of Pep Guardiola’s side, the full-back could be seen confronting the striker, who scored the goal for the Bees. Professional lip reader Jeremy Freeman has analysed, in the ‘Daily Mail’, what were the explanations of Pep Guardiola’s player to the referees when they asked him to relax because they noticed he was particularly tense with his rival.READ MORE

First, he turned to the fourth referee, Stuart Attwell, and warned him: “I’m going to knock him out. The referee snapped at him and Walker then said, “Hold it right there,” pointing to the tunnel before walking over to head referee Jarred Gillett and saying, “Ref, he’s talked about my kids. He’s talked about my kids not once but twice. Maupay then came on the scene to excuse himself: “No, it’s all right. That’s a lie, it’s not fair. I promise.”
