ESL One Birmingham 2024 (April).Esports Awards CEO discusses

The start of esports tour in the UK is Dota 2’s ESL One Birmingham.

The tournament organized by Central Region last took place in 2019 with its 2020 edition later canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event was well received by Dota 2 viewers, both online and in-house, and became the seventh most-watched ESL One Dota 2 event with 328,345 spectators, according to Esports Charts.

Rainbow Six Major Manchester (May)
Moving north, tournament operator BLAST brought the Rainbow Six Siege esports chain to Manchester for its final major event.

A total of 20 teams traveled to compete for the $ 750,000 prize.

The event is the first ever R6 Major in the UK, with the country’s latest large-scale Rainbow Six event taking place in Leicester’s Pro League Year 1 Season 2 Finals in 2016.
